Woodsong Concerts is a small, promotional group dedicated to supporting artists who communicate with honesty and integrity - artists whose music is both personal and original. We are interested in promoting artists who are not afraid to challenge the assumptions of our culture - the Christian sub-culture as well as the mainstream of American life. We are especially excited about working with those who may have difficulty finding appropriate platforms for their music. This includes artists who may struggle with music business politics in their attempts to honsetly share their questions, ideas and convictions.
Woodsong is motivated by a love for music, not out of a desire for monetary profits. We believe that music can profoundly influence the way we view the world and consider that a cause worth investing in. The visibility or "chart position" of artists are irrelevant if they have something of value to offer, if their observations can help us better understand our own experiences of pain and hope.

So who will we be bringing to town? Some may be solo acoustic artists in the folk, blues or rock genres, others may be bands in the more alternative/college scene. We are currently pursuing a number of musicians, but we're open to suggestions! Whether the venue is a nightclub, performance hall, or church, we hope that people will feel welcome and comfortable at our concerts. We have no agenda for our shows other than to simply allow the artists to share their thoughts and music as they see fit.

Because of our desire to bring some lesser-known musicians to our area, as well as our limited advertising budget, we will depend greatly on word- of-mouth communication to spread the news of upcoming concerts. We hope that others who share our passion for music of  integrity, honesty and truth will enthusiastically support our attempts to carve a new niche in this area.
