Lovers in a Dangerous Time (Stealing Fire) don't the hours grow shorter as the days go by you never get to stop and open your eyes one day you're waiting for the sky to fall the next you're dazzled by the beauty of it all when you're lovers in a  dangerous time lovers ina  dangerous time these fragile bodies of touch and taste this vibrant skin - this hair like lace spirits open to the thrust of grace never a breath you can afford to waste when you're lovers in a dangerous time lovers in a dangerous time when you're lovers in a dangerous time sometimes you're mad to feel as if your love's a crime - but nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight - got to kick at the darkness til it bleeds daylight when you're lovers in a dangerous time lovers in a  dangerous time and we're lovers in a dangerous time lovers in a dangerous time

Shadows In The Mist Sun comes up on smokey mountain Another day comes round Through the mist the shadows moving They seek to be found Like shadows in the mist They're shadows in the mist We pretend they don't exist - They're the victims of the rich They're like shadows in the mist Shadows in the mist Smoke goes up like holy incense Rising to the very heart of God Like silent prayers too deep to utter Straight to the broken heart of God Like shadows in the mist  . . . And the eyes of the world - they're nothing But the treasure in the eyes of God And the poor world lives off the rubbish of the rich But they're treasure in the eyes of God Yes the poor world lives off the rubbish of the rich But they're treasure in the eyes of God Like shadows in the mist . . . Hidden in some twilight world Not quite visible to us Wounded Saviour stands with them But he's not quite visible to us Like shadows in the mist . . .

Notes on Garth Hewitt's "Shadows in the Mist":

    Manila, Philippines - January 1989
Smokey Mountain is a notorious rubbish dump in Manila where
20,000 people live and scavenge for survival. It is not unique - more
and more people around the two-thirds world try and survive in
       conditions like this.
