Explorations of the Soul Workshop
come reflect and explore. . .
July 28th, beginning at 9:30am
Advanced Registration Required!
The mission of
the Studio Fabrikat workshops is to provide an intimate environment to
re-connect with our creative energy and skill. Most of us find little
time amid our busy schedules to carve out moments of pure creative
pleasure
These workshops offer a wonderful opportunity for everyone to unlock
their artistic identity and explore their own creativity.
Each workshop is
one full day, roughly 6 hours. For the Woodsong Festival weekend, we'll
begin at 9:30am, and then you can come and go as you please until 3:30pm
when the workshop officially ends. Adults and children of all ages and
skill levels are encouraged to participate. Participants are asked to
come with a collection of items (objects, text, old books, photos,
magazines, etc.). There are no limits.
To begin the day,
I will share my own artwork simply as a point of departure. There will
be time to share and learn from each person's diverse background. As
the day progresses we will all work on our own creations, pulling our
inspiration from the items brought along, or simply exploring new
mediums. By the end
of our time together, some people will have finished their project,
others will leave unfinished, hopefully inspired to complete it later.
The point of this day is to get our creative energies moving again!
Everyone is
encouraged to bring any artistic medium with which they feel
comfortable. I pray you will join us for a day of discovery and
sharing in God's extraordinary gifts.
“Our deepest fear is not that we
are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens
us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You
are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t
feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory
of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in
everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from
our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -
